Freshest onto the ever changing music scene is The Miracle Is Now (TMIN). A 4 piece, Power Pop/Rock outfit from Adelaide, South Australia with founding member Josh Burgan (In Fiction) on vocals and guitar. Even though TMIN only has a handful of shows under their belt it is clear that this band is here to stay, already turning heads at every show they play. Support slots on Kris Roe (The Ataris), Stealing Oneal & The Mission In Motion East Coast Tour and a headlining tour in May, you know 'The Miracle Is Now' is the next thing to see. Keep your eyes peeled, and catch “The Miracle Is Now” at a show near you soon.
With years of playing experience both together and separately (In Fiction, Wishful Thinking, Fighting Words), ‘The Fountainhead’ began as a means to continue jamming and writing together. Rocking the jam room since mid-2008, prolific song-writing sessions filled the months to follow. After many broken sticks and strings, battered skins, blown valves and ringing ears, ‘The Fountainhead’ emerged from the dark, dingy band room to bring their music to the stage in May, 2009, to a sold out crowd at Adelaide's Governor Hindmarsh. Now working on a hotly anticipated debut release, keep your eyes and ears out for 'The Fountainhead'.
Amity Dry has been performing since she was a young child and writing songs since her first high school crush. After many years of studying music, working in piano bars, recording demos and honing her craft she stumbled onto the break she needed in 2003 when she appeared in the smash hit Channel 9 TV show, The Block.
The Block was the biggest rating TV series of the year, with over 3 million viewers tuning in to the final episode. It made its eight contestants household names and gave Amity an instant audience for her music. This opportunity allowed Amity to fulfil her lifelong ambition of recording an album of her original songs and her debut album The Lighthouse was released, peaking at #6 on the ARIA chart with certified GOLD sales.
During this time Amity performed on numerous TV shows including The Today Show, Mornings with KerriAnne, Good Morning Australia, A Current Affair, Carols by Candlelight and many others. Amity also toured the country promoting her album and performing at countless shows and events, including a performance in Rundle Mall for 5000 fans.
In 2005 Amity released her second album ‘True To Me’ independently, with the single Rollercoaster achieving radio airplay.
In 2006 Amity gave birth to her son, Jamison, and moved back to her home-town of Adelaide, where she continues to build a successful music career.
In 2008 Amity turned her focus to the world of cabaret, writing and starring in the one-woman show ‘Mother, Wife & the Complicated Life’. This hilarious and heart-warming show, which explores the joys and challenges of marriage and motherhood, premiered at the 09 Adelaide Fringe Festival. It was a sell out season, with the critics raving and the audiences giving standing ovations.
“Amity Dry’s first venture into the cabaret arena is a roaring success…. She has an obvious flair for comedy but is also clearly able to evoke emotion, appearing to know exactly what to do to make the audience laugh out loud (or even shed a tear)….Slick and polished this show is hard to fault and is a definite gem of this year’s Fringe.” Adelaide Theatre Guide
“Dry is instantly likable and utterly endearing. Possessing fantastic stage presence, a beautiful voice and just the right amount of confidence to pull the one woman show off, Dry is an act to watch.” The Advertiser
Amity then performed in the 2009 Cabaret Fringe Festival, where she launched her new show ‘Tapestry – A Tribute To Carole King.’ Again the critics were generous in their praise.
“Her voice is powerful, engaging, and flawless, pitching every note perfectly.” Adelaide Theatre Guide
Amity is now taking ‘Mother, Wife and the Complicated Life’ on a regional tour of South Australia, with future dates and festivals planned.
She also fronts the band Hepburn, one of Adelaide’s leading corporate covers bands, performing at events such as the State Clipsal Dinner and South Australian of the Year Awards.
In addition to her music career Amity also writes a parenting blog for the Sydney Morning Herald and The Age online. Her Essential Baby blog is a popular blog that explores the ups and downs of parenthood with a humorous edge. Amity is also a passionate advocate for children and is an ambassador for the charity groups, Can Do 4 Kids and Good Beginnings.

Leigh Cunningham crafts songs that connect with the human spirit. His soaring vocals and acoustic guitar combine with a heartfelt sincerity that can't help but draw an audience in, and take them on a journey. Leigh's music gently moves people to consider the things in life that really matter, and challenges them to respond with their actions accordingly. So sit back. Relax. Take some time to think. Be Challenged. Who knows where it might lead you?
Emerging from the extents of Radelaide suburbia, they formed in the pursuit of rock 'n' roll eminence to bring you their form of inspired and insightful noise. A blend of melodious vocals and mellow guitar tones contrasted to ruckus, reverb-mad, 6-string screams and desperate wails form their unique style that bridges genres like a highway of sound. An undoubtedly exceptional example of the result of discontent with the middling and mediocre nature of today’s music eventuates in this collision of passion, desire and longing.
We are passionate about being real and genuine. There is a raw truth to the person who not only speaks their mind, but acts upon their claims. So in the sense of social justice, it is completely counterproductive to speak of your opinions without authentic demonstration of them. Cannot wait!

In addition, Kiki has been working in partnership with James Roche, formerly of Bachelor Girl, developing a debut album. For most of this time, James has resided in London, U.K. Kiki has spent time in London and James has returned to Australia many times to continue work on the project. With many creds to the likes of Jack Jones (southern sons) and Karl Lewis (savage garden) the album bears a U.K Brit Indie Pop Rock vibe.
Hey... I'm Jess! I write music... I sing music... I play music... I listen to music... I can't drive my car without having music... The bathroom doesn't seem like the same place if there's no music! Basically, I have lived and breathed music since I was a little kid and can't see life without it. I believe it's one of those amazing universal languages that can speak to people on a level that other types of communication cannot. What's more, I count it a priviledge to be gifted in music so that I can contribute to impacting other peoples lives in this way. I'm really into artist like Corinne Bailey Rae, Brooke Fraser, Adele, John Mayer, Coldplay, Starfield, Israel Houghton, Kirk Franklin, John Legend and LOADS MORE! There's no way I could pick a favourite.
I work for my church in Music Ministry and am in the final stages of my degree in Music Ministry at college. I've been a performing musician for a long time now and am usually seen with just my piano or keyboard and maybe an acoustic guitar. I've performed at Silos Festival, as a guest artist with the Australian Youth Choir at the Town Hall, and have also supported Christian Artists like Matt Lucas and Sons of Korah. I'm pretty pumped to be getting behind the concept of 'Another Way to Love' and look forward to putting my opinions into action! See you there!!
